Perfect for larger stereo systems or compact multi-channel home theater applications in medium to large rooms, the Emit 30 is a compact 2-way floorstanding speaker designed to impress whether used as a standalone stereo pair or as part of a home theater.
Like its little brother, the Emit 10, it uses 14cm MSP woofers, similar to those found in the Evoke series. Two drivers per speaker add muscle and drive to the bass frequencies, as well as clarity to the midrange. MSP stands for Magnesium Silicate Polymer. It's a material that Dynaudio has developed and used in-house for decades. It offers just the right combination of lightness, stiffness and lossless damping.
The tweeter is the exact same tweeter found in the Evoke series speakers. It's based on the incredible Esotar 3 element used in the award-winning Special Forty speaker, as well as the Heritage Special and Confidence series speakers. It features a 28mm soft cloth dome with a special DSR coating. It reproduces all the detail and creates the openness you want to hear from your recordings, without subjecting you to unwanted listening fatigue during longer listening sessions. This is a speaker you can listen to late into the night without getting tired.
Behind the tweeter diaphragm is the much talked about Hexis structure. It features an ingenious so-called open inner dome, which is directly behind the diaphragm and creates an airflow that optimizes the frequency response and eliminates unwanted resonances. This means that the diaphragm moves more precisely, so you hear more detail than before. It is driven by a strontium carbonate and ceramic magnet system, which achieves better sensitivity and clarity, as well as a natural and dynamic response.
The Emit 30 enclosures are made of 18 mm MDF, which creates a solid base for the speaker. The enclosure is dampened with polyester fiber, which is measured to the nearest gram. This dampens the resonances of the enclosure. At the back of the speaker are two bass reflex pipes, which are rounded at both ends and thus minimize unwanted sounds. Foam plugs are also included, which can be used if the speaker needs to be placed close to walls. This makes it possible to optimize the reproduction of low frequencies. Magnetically attached front grilles are also included.
