Instead of a normal rubber or plastic sleeve, 4Connect ring connectors come with a piece of high-quality shrink sleeve. A shrink sleeve protects the joint from oxidation much better than a loose rubber sleeve or plastic sleeve.

Many manufacturers make connectors from brass, which conducts worse than copper because it is cheaper than copper.
