But as we know, playing loud and strong doesn't happen by itself, products have to be designed for it and used for it. This is where the new GAS MAD subwoofers come into play...
The new injection-molded IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) cone of the GAS MAD subwoofers is stiff and built to last. Not to mention, this orange-cone MAD driver is outrageously cool.
USG "Unity Surround Gasket"
The top suspension of the GAS MAD subwoofers is “one piece” with the rubber ring surrounding the element. This eliminates uneven movement of the cone.
"Keep it cool"
When playing loud, voice coil cooling is of paramount importance. GAS MAD subwoofers feature DCS (Dual Ventilation System), which reduces voice coil heating and ensures longer lasting bass response.
Appearance matters.
The MAD drivers feature details such as the letter "M" and stylish GAS logos on the chassis, which also act as cooling vents for the voice coil. The driver's dust cup is made of the same injection-molded polypropylene as the cone, but with the stylish GAS logo.
What kind of housing?
GAS MAD subwoofers are suitable for both sealed and reflex enclosures! We definitely recommend putting padding inside all enclosure options. The right amount depends on your listening habits and the amount of padding can really affect the sound.

Regardless of your vehicle, the GAS MAD series is made for anyone who wants a good-sounding subwoofer that plays loud but doesn't cause much turbulence in the bank account. The drivers are on a single four-ohm voice coil, so with two MAD subs you get a two-ohm load to the amplifier, by connecting the drivers in parallel. If you want even more street cred (and sound pressure), with four drivers you can make a one-ohm load to the amplifier.
