A good subwoofer is much more than just bass. The 7040A subwoofer produces a high sound pressure and a precise and uncolored response up to 30Hz. With the 7040A, 8010 or 8020 monitors you get a full frequency band system.
First-class bass control
The Genelec 7040A produces convincing bass reproduction, in a small size. It is well suited to be combined with Genelec 8010 and 8020 surveillance monitors. The subwoofer's frequency response extends down to 30 hertz. Despite its small size, excellent performance is enabled by Genelec's patented Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE™) case structure. The structure guarantees the accuracy of bass reproduction and a wide band of low frequencies. This speaker's 6½-inch bass element and powerful Genelec class D amplifier produce a sound pressure of up to 100 decibels.
