Genelec 7050C
The latest version of Genelec's successful 7050 subwoofer, the 7050C is the perfect partner for any active loudspeaker, but especially for Genelec's 8010, 8020, 8030 and M030 models.
The most important innovations of the 7050C are built-in bass control with low- and high-pass filters, lower distortion levels, compatibility with any mains voltage, and a higher maximum sound pressure level of 103 dB.
The 7050C is equally suitable for stereo and multi-channel systems thanks to its 5.1-channel connections. The five main channels have a fixed 85 Hz crossover frequency, like larger Genelec subwoofers, and the LFE channel extends to 120 Hz. The LFE channel sensitivity can be increased by +10 dB if necessary and the bass control can also be overridden - these functions are also familiar from larger Genelec subwoofers.
Measuring just 410 x 350 x 319 mm, the LSE spiral enclosure houses a magnetically shielded eight-inch driver. The lower limit of reproduction is 24 Hz (-6 dB) and the distortion level is very low.
As is typical of Genelec, the 7050C is equipped with a wide range of controls to perfectly match the subwoofer to the main speakers. Phase adjustment in 90-degree increments, bass level adjustment near the lower frequency (bass roll-off), stepless input sensitivity adjustment, LFE +10 dB function, as well as activation of automatic power-on (ISS) and response sensitivity adjustment are standard features.
