Genelec 8361A active DSP three-way speaker
The largest model in the Ones series, the extremely wide dynamics, superior directivity characteristics and stereo imaging combined with a maximum sound pressure of 118 decibels make it suitable for small to medium-sized studios and listening distances of up to five meters.
All the driver elements in the 8361 are new: two bass drivers capable of high sound pressure with very low distortion and a new Minimum Diffraction Coaxial (MDC) driver. The coaxial driver, consisting of a tweeter and midrange driver, offers good directivity, low distortion and reproduction up to 40 kHz. The shape of the coaxial driver is seamlessly connected to the shape of the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) that covers the entire front of the 8361. The extra-large size of the driver ensures that the reproduction remains uncolored over an exceptionally wide listening range.
Like other active speakers in The Ones series, the 8361 reduces listening fatigue and enables you to make correct and consistent decisions even during long work sessions. The distortions in the sound image that cause listening fatigue are minimized. And the 8361 really comes into its own when used with GLM software, which allows you to eliminate annoying room acoustic problems and facilitate the creation of high-quality audio recordings in both traditional stereo formats and modern immersive multi-channel systems.
