Performance comparable to large systems in a compact size: G Five is suitable for many applications where a wide playback area is needed, but the size of the space is limited. G Five is perfect for listening to music or as a sturdy main speaker for a home theater.

Like all Genelec G series loudspeakers, the G Five has been made in collaboration with designer Harri Koskinen and is equipped with an advanced Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™) rectifier, a flow-technically optimized reflex tube structure and an acoustically rigid aluminum housing. The strength of the housing structure is completed by a wear-resistant paint surface and acoustically transparent, but strong protective nets for the speaker elements. Very low-distortion speaker elements, properly dimensioned 150W (bass) + 120W (treble) amplifiers and carefully designed active splitters complete the whole. An oversteer protection circuit and versatile acoustic controls are part of the G Five's equipment as standard. G Five can be easily placed in different places. Its back panel has, for example, threads for a wall or ceiling mount.

Carefully designed steep crossovers feed the signal to amplifiers specially designed for very low-distortion speaker elements. The ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) feature ensures that power consumption remains as low as possible when the speaker is not in use. After automatically going to Standby mode, the speaker's power consumption is less than 0.5W.

Each G Five comes with an Iso-Pod™ (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler™) desktop stand that eliminates sound distortion by isolating the speaker from the surface it is placed on. Iso-Pod™ also makes it easy to direct the speaker's acoustic axis towards the listener.
