Maple meets hemp
RS2x has been completely redesigned so that the full potential of the maple and hemp used in it has been utilized. The headphone cups are made entirely of maple and the core made of hemp holds the whole beauty together. Grado uses wood as a construction material due to its warm and addictive sound profile, and the RS2x is a great leap forward for the RS2 series.
A distinctive voice
The headphone element and its housing work together to respond to sound vibrations and eliminate transient distortion almost entirely. The headphones' balanced sound and world-class mid-range reproduction take the listener with them from the very first beats.
X series elements
The fourth generation X-series headphone elements are here. Specially tuned to work in the RS2x's wooden case, this new headphone element is equipped with a beefier magnetic motor, a lighter voice coil and a redesigned diaphragm. The new design of these components has improved the efficiency of the 44 mm headphone element, reduced distortion values and preserves the authenticity of music tones even better.
New cable design
The Prestige X series features a completely redesigned cable design that offers more durability and flexibility. The 8-conductor cable now has a very pleasant braided sock and a clean copper conductor inside, which improves the purity of the audio signal.

Like all previous models dating back to 1953, the RS2x is handcrafted in Brooklyn
