Description
Hertz MPK163.3 6.5" 3-way separate set
First-class 3-way separate set
The Hertz MPK 163.3 three-way separate set is designed to produce a wide frequency reproduction and special attention has been paid to its bass reproduction, so that it produces decent low frequencies even in cars, where it is not possible to add a subwoofer. The midbass of the MP 165.3 series has an advanced V-cone cone geometry that enables better air flow than a traditional cone, thanks to which the sound of the element is not disturbed even when listening loudly. Due to the flexible rimless suspension, the movement path of the element has been stretched to an exceptionally long length.
The included MPCX 3.3 crossover filter is specially designed to extract all possible performance from the MP 165.3 midbass and MP 70.3 midrange, and its crossover frequency has been raised quite high to ensure a seamless transition to the midrange reproduction band. The crossover frequency can also be adjusted by the user, as the MP 70.3 can reproduce very high frequencies for its size. The crossover can also be used to fine-tune the general level of the treble (0/+2 dB) so that its general sound level can be matched with the mid-bass and midrange.
Since it is a very high-quality stand-alone set that is designed to withstand large amounts of power, we recommend connecting an amplifier to the system to drive the speakers. With additional power, significantly better bass reproduction is achieved, both in terms of firmness and reach, and the whole system sounds stronger and more dynamic if necessary. Our recommendation for an amplifier suitable for the speaker set is Hertz's Mille Power series ML POWER 4, whose power reserves are sufficient to release the true potential of the speaker set.

The MP70.3 is equipped with two Neodymium magnets, and the element produces an amazingly bright and seductive midrange reproduction, thus perfectly suited as a partner for the powerful bass produced by the MP165P.3 bass element of the same series, while the reproduction of the highest frequencies is handled by the MP25.3 treble element. Large 20 mm voice coil maximizes dynamics reproduction; The cone made with V-cone technology again produces a wide radiation pattern, so every passenger can enjoy the sweet tones of natural mid tones. Limitless upper suspension has been selected for the element, because with it the upper limit frequency has been raised higher than average, giving the end user considerable freedom to fine-tune the crossover frequency.
MP 70.3 midrange characteristics
1. Symmetrical Neodymium double magnet structure has been realized using the speaker element modeling application (FEM) and in the sound this can be heard as an amazing reproduction of dynamics and accuracy.
2. The 20 mm CCAW double-layer voice coil is wrapped in a Polyamide tube equipped with eight pressure relief openings. As a result, the element's instantaneous power endurance is high and it does not compress when listening loudly.
3. The exponential V-cone cone profile is made of compressed mass cone with cotton fibers, the advantage of which is that the cone is both light and rigid, leading to excellent linearity in music playback.
4. Thanks to the unlimited rubber upper suspension, the sensitivity and upper bass reproduction is significantly better than conventional elements.
5. The vibration-free rubber magnet cover dampens vibrations and can be removed if space is limited.
6. The acoustically transparent aluminum body with an elegant diamond cut is equipped with the Hertz logo.
7. The included protective grille keeps the element safe without affecting the sound it reproduces.

MP 165.3 mid-bass characteristics
1. The voice coil made of pure copper is wrapped in a polyamide former and combines high power endurance with excellent transient reproduction.
2. The exponential V-cone cone is made of pressed paper pulp and cotton fiber, so it is both rigid and light at the same time and produces a wide frequency reproduction.
3. "Limitless" upper suspension improves efficiency and bass reproduction.
4. A high-density flux-ferrite magnet combined with low-carbon iron plates keeps the distortion values low when listening hard.
5. Shallow installation depth and body structure made of acoustically transparent aluminum alloy.
6. The fully protective and elegant metal mesh is decorated with the Hertz logo and coated with mineral powder.
