The SS 15 D2 subwoofer with its 15" cone is ready to convince enthusiasts with its power. The specially manufactured upper suspension combined with the double-layered lower suspension keep the performance consistent across the board, whether it's normal listening to music or participating in a sound pressure competition.
Heat distribution is of the utmost importance in elements like this that reach high sound pressure, and thanks to the precise design, heat distribution and fading away from the element are at a first-class level. The sturdy double voice coil has a whopping 75 mm in diameter and is equipped with air vents, thanks to which the subwoofer can handle up to 2400 W of instantaneous power. The structure of the body is designed with heat distribution in mind and it is also mechanically extremely durable. The non-pressing paper cone with cotton fibers achieves an ideal compromise between stiffness and lightness. These two factors are of unequal importance when aiming for high sensitivity. The lower suspension and conductor cables are oversized in order to withstand the cone's exceptionally large range of motion without distressing or reducing the quality of playback. A massive ferrite magnet keeps the whole beauty under extreme control, right up to the extremes of performance. Push-in terminals make connection easy and accept up to 12 AWG speaker wire.
