Hifiman Sundara Closed headphones
The stylish appearance of the Hifiman Sundara Closed Back headphones is emphasized by the hand-finished earcups made of beech. The advantage of closed headphones is to isolate the music and at the same time the listening experience from the background noise of the outside world. Closed headphones also emphasize the natural bass reproduction of the original recording. Headphone cups designed by Hifima engineers offer two-fold advantages: Exceptionally good sound and stylish appearance.
Compared to the rectangular magnets of traditional flat headphones, the Stealth magnet developed by Hifiman significantly reduces the reflections and diffraction that weaken the sound quality, which in turn improves the sound quality of the headphone considerably.
Like the open Sundara version, the new closed Sundara Closed Back headphone also has a very thin Super Nano membrane, which is up to 80% thinner than the membranes typically used in headphones. The result of the design is a very wide frequency response (6Hz-50kHz) and sonic details that reveal the fine details of well-recorded music.
Hifiman founder Dr. Fang Bian explains the history behind the name: Sundara is a Sanskrit term meaning 'beautiful' and 'noble', both of which accurately describe the new headphone model, both inside and out. Music lovers will enjoy the new Sundara Closed Back model as much, if not more, than the original open headphone model.
