ZEN Stream has been designed from the beginning with quality in mind - the hardware and software as a whole is quite exceptional:

ZEN Stream has one of the most fully optimized software platforms in the world. From device drivers, kernel (the heart of the operating system), shell (which is connected to the kernel), applications and user interface - everything is fully optimized for seamless operation and excellent sound reproduction.
An ingenious part of ZEN Stream's design is the ability to choose between "Exclusive" modes - individual settings dedicated to specific operating modes for the cleanest possible performance. When listening to music, all other programs are turned off, minimizing "software jitter" - an often overlooked fact that negatively affects the quality of computer sound reproduction.
This ensures that ZEN Stream is not only a "jack of all trades", but also a jack of all trades.
