JBL Stage 240H universal speaker pair

2-way 4.5” (114 mm) Dolby Atmos® surround speaker

Designed at JBL’s Acoustic Design Excellence Center in Northridge, California, the compact 240H is a truly versatile Stage 2 speaker. With the flip of a switch, it can be transformed into a Dolby Atmos-ready add-on or an in-wall overhead or surround speaker. The 240H features a 2-way design with next-generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide geometry, a 1” (25 mm) anodized aluminum dome tweeter, and two 4.5” (114 mm) polycellulose Ribbed Cone woofers for JBL’s signature deep bass.

Dolby Atmos® height channel module compatible with 280F and 260F

The Dolby Atmos-ready 240H height channel modules feature the same woofer and horn as the 240B bookshelf model and are easy to connect via the hub screws on the top of the rear of each floor model, or via the surround channels that can be mounted on a wall or ceiling.

4.5” (114 mm) polycellulose Ribbed Cone woofer

Each Stage 2 speaker features a Ribbed Cone woofer made from polycellulose. This paper cone features a proprietary blend of materials added for added rigidity, and the Ribbed Cone construction is inspired by legendary JBL styling. These woofers deliver deep, accurate bass that fills the room.

1” (25 mm) anodized aluminum tweeter in next-generation HDI™ waveguide

JBL has carefully studied the structures of previous waveguides and developed a new complex geometry that improves directivity, reduces diffraction and ensures a neutral frequency response both on and off the center axis. The Stage 2 speakers combine the HDI horn with an anodized aluminum dome tweeter, which improves efficiency and dynamics. The new structure ensures a neutral frequency response both on and off the center axis.
