The Dominion series is born from JL Audio's advanced technologies developed over the years and long know-how as a manufacturer of subwoofers, the end result of which has been squeezing an unimaginable amount of performance out of a compact housing, without forgetting the precision and the tonality that serves the music.
Precision and power
Tailor-made to produce powerful bass frequencies with authority and power, the Dominion bass driver utilizes JL Audio's exclusive DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) technology to produce truly powerful bass reproduction while still keeping the distortion value very low. The element's range of motion is a whopping 68 mm!
As a benefit of DMA technology, the tracking and accuracy of the dynamics are in a class of their own, thanks to which even the smallest nuances of the bass guitar are transmitted clearly and in a timely manner without being covered by the rest of the music.
Advanced amplifier technology
The amplifiers of the Dominion series make use of the advanced D-class design to get the most out of the element. The implementation method also includes a very precisely regulated current level, thanks to which the amplifier is able to produce an enormous amount of clean power for the element.
The amplifier also includes liuda's signal processing, so it is exceptionally easy to integrate into any system, whether the main speakers used are traditional enclosure-style or very fast-moving panels, Dominion always keeps up. The low pass is precisely controlled thanks to the 24dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley direction in the crossover, so the subwoofer only reproduces the frequencies that belong to it, and does not produce overlaps at higher frequencies. The subwoofer also has precise phase and polarity controls, which further facilitate matching with the main speakers.
Adaptable all-rounder
The signal can be sent to the subwoofer either at line or speaker level, so it can be integrated into both stereo and multi-channel systems without difficulty. Wireless is also possible, thanks to the separately sold JLINK™ TRX system, which allows the subwoofer to be connected to the system without a signal cable up to a distance of 30 meters.
Since the subwoofer produces an enormous amount of energy, an extraordinary amount of attention was paid to the design of the case so that the case resonances remain minimal and do not mess up the purity of the reproduction. The walls are made of thick CNC-machined MDF board and sturdy cross supports are installed inside the case, which improve the 'deadness' of the case even more.
