The Fathom f110v2 is the most compact subwoofer in the Fathom® range, yet still manages to deliver exceptional performance in modestly sized rooms. The combination of an extremely long-throw 10-inch W7 driver and a very powerful amplifier gives it the kind of intimidating power normally associated with much larger and more complex subwoofer systems.
Since the f110v2 is implemented with the same element structure and amplification technology as our acclaimed flagship Gotham®, it offers a very convincing sound quality. Low distortion, excellent dynamic characteristics and shockingly deep reach allow you to experience all the excitement of the most demanding cinema material, while Fathom is capable of reproducing all the nuances and textures of your delicate music material.
A full range of signal processing features are easily accessible from the front panel of every Fathom. These include a highly flexible low-pass filter, phase control and polarity reversal, elf trim and a highly accurate digital automatic room optimization (DARO) system. A high-quality calibrated microphone for the DARO system is included. Input connections are made with RCA connections or balanced Neutrik® combo XLR / TRS connectors. There is also an XLR output through which you can chain another Fathom subwoofer.
Fathom bass drivers utilize the DMA optimization developed by JL Audio, with which the motor power of the driver guarantees a very linear trajectory with a long movement deviation. Unlike traditional modeling methods, DMA takes into account the dynamic variations of the power supply with real music material. As an advantage of the technology, the element stays with you when listening loud as well as quietly, unlike many traditional subwoofers, whose playback is so-called only 'opens' when the faucet is turned quite a bit.
The extreme immersion depth of the element is appropriate and it enables the suspension and the double spiders to be at a sufficient distance from each other and from the cone, which enables a really long trajectory and a minimal distortion value and improves durability.
