KEF Q750
The center floor speaker of the Q series is a real masterpiece
The eighth generation of the KEF Q series - even more depth and purity. One of life's greatest pleasures is experiencing the power of a particularly great music recording or movie in your own home. Hassle-free and unhurried. Completely on your own terms. KEF's Q series enables you to enjoy this with its natural and accurate sound.
The first KEF Q series was introduced in 1991. Since then, this highly regarded and award-winning collection has delighted music lovers around the world, bringing KEF's unique innovations and exceptionally fine sound quality always at a very reasonable price range. The new Q series is now already in its eighth generation, and brings the biggest development step so far in such an affordable price category.
The new Q series is naturally built around KEF's Uni-Q element. KEF has been developing this element since the 1980s. In the new Q series, however, KEF added a lot of technology from its more expensive R, Reference and Blade collections. Uni-Q is KEF's most important innovation, which enables the reproduction of the entire most important frequency band from the same element, but even more importantly compared to other coaxial elements, from exactly the same acoustic center point, also in the depth direction. That's why KEF speakers have such an incredibly effortless, large and authentic sound field, which is enjoyable to listen to from the side, everywhere in the listening space.
The treble reproduction of the new Q collection has been dramatically improved with the renewed damping channel located behind the element. This innovation particularly benefits the combination of midrange and treble, and the end result is the naturalness of real instruments and the human voice, unheard of in this price category.
Better bass reproduction
A special reference-level coil has been selected for the new Q-series splitter, whose negligible distortion enables even better bass reproduction. In addition, in the new Q series, the tuning of the case has been changed to correspond to even higher quality speaker elements. The liquid flow-optimized reflex port of the pedestal models is now located behind the case, beautifying the appearance of the speakers, but at the same time substantially improving the purity of the midrange and the precision of the bass. In the floor speakers, on the other hand, the top element (Uni-Q) is now completely in its own well-damped chamber, and the considerably longer-throw passive radiators (2 pcs) support the accurate reproduction of the even stronger bass element in the best way. The Q series is capable of amazing separation in the entire sound range and at all listening levels, starting with the most sensitive breath.
Great new look!
The distinctly stylish appearance that is characteristic of KEF has undergone quite a facelift in the new Q series. The whole is harmonious and carefully made in either a convincing black or fresh white finish. The surface material has changed to a beautiful and clean coating similar to brushed metal. The front plate is completely flat, because the attachment of the front fabrics is now magnetic. However, front cloths are no longer supplied as standard with the speakers, but you can get them as an accessory if you wish. This way, KEF is able to offer speakers in an even more affordable price range. And it must be admitted - the sound and appearance of the new Q series is, at least in our opinion, completely naked at its best! Yes, about the advantages of listening at home...
