The McIntosh DS200 Streaming DAC is the perfect solution for music lovers who demand high-quality audio and smooth streaming. This user-friendly device offers a variety of built-in streaming technologies that allow you to enjoy music without the need for additional apps or technical skills.
The DS200 supports Spotify® Connect and TIDAL® Connect , which allow you to stream music directly from cloud services to your device. This means you can continue using your favorite apps on your phone or tablet, while the DS200 plays music in top quality. Your smart device also acts as a convenient remote control for volume, track selection and playback.
Additionally, the DS200 supports Apple® AirPlay®, Bluetooth® and Google Cast™ technologies , allowing you to stream music directly from your smart device, making it perfect for family gatherings and evenings, as your guests can easily share their own playlists.
The device has two Wi-Fi antennas and one Bluetooth antenna for stable wireless connections, as well as an Ethernet port for wired connectivity. It also supports Google Assistant , allowing you to control it with voice commands.
For Bluetooth streaming, the DS200 utilizes Bluetooth 5.0 , high-resolution AAC codec , and Qualcomm® aptX™ HD technology for lossless audio playback. In addition, aptX Low Latency ensures perfect audio and video synchronization when watching videos.
The DS200's digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is equipped with a next-generation Quad Balanced 8-channel, 32-bit DAC circuit , which ensures excellent dynamics and minimal distortion.
The device is also Roon Ready certified, meaning it works seamlessly with the Roon music service , which brings all your music together and provides additional information about artists, albums, songs, and background information about the performers and producers.
The DS200 has 8 digital audio inputs , allowing you to connect a CD player or tuner, for example. It supports high-resolution digital audio:
The device has both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) analog outputs , allowing it to be connected to a preamplifier or integrated amplifiers. As standard, the DS200 operates at a fixed output level , in which case the volume is controlled from the amplifier, but it can also be set to a variable output level , in which case the DS200 can function as a preamplifier and connect directly to a power amplifier.
The DS200 is designed in McIntosh's timeless style: a black glass front panel, illuminated logo, aluminum end caps and high-quality rotary knobs ensure a classic look and top quality. The device integrates easily with other McIntosh components via Data IN and Power Control ports , and an RS232 control port allows for more advanced installations. A remote control is included in the package.
