Description
McIntosh MA5300 integrated 2x100W amplifier
The integrated MA5300 amplifier is proof that big sound can sometimes live in a relatively small package. It's our smallest integrated transistor amplifier in terms of both power and physical size, making it an ideal choice for smaller spaces or for the avid music listener just starting to put together a serious music system. The MA5300 is a direct-coupled amplifier that delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms or 160 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The new double-scaling blue wattmeters provide accurate information about the output power used with both 4 and 8 ohm impedances.
"In this price range there is a huge range on the market, but no one does it the way McIntosh does". You get everything you want: power, control and high resolution with lots of detail. You get an amplifier that plays directly from the heart. 5 out of 5 stars.” - Stereo+
"If I were to start (again) building a very accurate reference-level audio system, I would base everything on one cornerstone, which would be the McIntosh MA5300 integrated amplifier." - Enjoy The Music
The MA5300's fine ensemble is complemented by time-tested McIntosh technologies such as Power Guard®, Sentry Monitor ™, home theater connection, High Drive headphone amplifier and Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®) for headphone listening, as well as high-quality gold-plated speaker terminals. Classic McIntosh aesthetics such as blue long-life LED-illuminated wattmeters, black glass front panel with aluminum end pieces, signature adjustment knobs and illuminated logo ensure a joy of ownership.
"The MA5300 is a clean, open-sounding iron fist in a velvet glove amp that is extremely faithful to the source, capable of producing music and fun from recordings regardless of their quality. A system built around the MA5300 is likely to provide a huge amount of musical enjoyment for a very long time." - HiFi Wigwam
The MA5300 features McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks ™ heatsinks connected to advanced high-current transistors that reduce warm-up time so you can enjoy the MA5300's full sonic capabilities immediately after powering up. To improve the overall operation of the system, powerful new control microprocessors have been used, together with the latest circuit components, to produce the best possible sound quality.
"If you're looking for an integrated amplifier that has a noticeable physical presence in its reproduction, but also a deft music handling skill, I recommend you test your ears with the McIntosh MA5300." - Stereonet
Our integrated amplifiers combine the design and performance of world-famous amplifiers and preamplifiers in one space-saving unit. No matter which McIntosh model you choose, you will be rewarded with decades of legendary McIntosh listening pleasure.
