McIntosh MC2301 Power amplifier
The MC2301 delivers the most realistic and dynamic performance ever heard from a McIntosh amplifier. The power of 300 watts offers enough power to meet the demands of even the most demanding speakers. Thanks to the patented Unity Coupled Circuit transformer, this full 300 watts is available for 2, 4 or 8 ohm speakers.
The MC2301 is the first McIntosh tube amplifier to use a Quad Balanced design. This design eliminates almost all audio noise and distortions in the signal. As a result, even highly amplified signals are free of distortion. McIntosh's fuseless short-circuit protection circuit Sentry Monitor can turn off the output level before the current exceeds a safe operating level and automatically recover from this state. Balanced and unbalanced inputs provide flexibility for connecting to other audio systems.
The attractive looking blue instrument cluster, the two rows of exhaust pipes next to it and the brushed aluminum handles bring even more visuals to the front panel. These all blend effortlessly into the polished stainless steel base.
