The Musical Fidelity MX-HPA headphone amplifier is a masterful display of decades of design experience. Fully balanced, it is capable of offering awe-inspiring listening experiences.
The technical performance of the MX-HPA is absolutely amazing. Its distortion between 20Hz and 40kHz is typically less than 0.005%. The signal-to-noise ratio is better than 120dB (A-weighted). The frequency response is dominantly flat in the 10Hz - 20kHz (-0.1dB) range.
The MX-HPA can momentarily handle 10 watt peaks. It includes two gain ranges: 18dB (8X) and 24dB (15X). In addition to balanced XLR input connections, it is also capable of balancing traditional RCA line inputs. The MX-HPA is therefore truly balanced in all respects from start to finish.
