Description
Nad C368 Hybrid Digital DAC
Listening to music and especially enjoying it has never been so easy before!
We have always thought about the future when our devices have been developed. The NAD C368 Digital Hybrid DAC is indeed an amplifier that keeps your home audio system always ahead of others. Thanks to our MDC technology, the C368 is easily customizable to your needs and ready for future new Hi-Fi technology features and upgrades.
With the BluOS module, the C368 can be easily connected to your system and you can control it with your smartphone, tablet or laptop, as well as wirelessly connect it to any other BluOS-supported device to create a High Resolution Audio system covering your entire listening space. You can also seamlessly connect to the C368 amplifier via Bluetooth and enable wireless streaming with any other Bluetooth device.
If you are a vinyl lover, you can also connect your record player to the system.
When designing the device, we never ignore the most important requirements. Whether it's low-noise components, precise volume control, exact channel balance or excellent input and output impedances, we at NAD will certainly do everything we can to ensure that every part of the amplifier works perfectly correctly. We also added to the product a MM (Moving Magnet) Phono turntable amplifier with a precise RIIA corrector, high overload margins, a very innovative and low-noise microcircuit to emphasize infrasounds (which are present in all LP records) - without affecting the bass sounds in any way!
Through the Line-In line inputs of the amplifier, any analog music program sources can be connected, and this is ensured by the linear Ultra Low Noise Buffer amplifiers. These amplifiers, together with ideal input impedances, prevent any possible unpleasant music sounding, despite the possible unbalanced load of the music source. We also added a separate headphone amplifier with low input impedance and very high output voltage - enough for even high impedance studio level headphones. A subwoofer can also be connected to the low-impedance Line-Out outputs, to further increase the features of this amplifier designed with the Music First mindset. You will hear all these details yourself!
We always think ahead
Modular Desing Construction (MDC) is a technology exclusive to NAD products, allowing you to customize your own amplifier with add-ons and features, now and of course in the future. Different upgrade modules can be connected to two MDC units, such as a video-supported 4K HDMI or USB module. You can connect to it the most advanced wireless BluOS music management system developed by Bluesound. BluOS connects you to the network that surrounds your rooms and you can manage your music library using your smartphone, tablet or laptop. BluOs also enables ever-increasing high-resolution music streaming services (TIDAL & MQA).
Ready to use immediately
As already revealed above, you can use the C368 Bluetooth receiver to stream music wirelessly and without delay from any Bluetooth device. The high-performance aptX codec of the amplifier enables almost CD-level sound reproduction. Bluetooth can also be used to listen wirelessly with Bluetooth headphones (such as the NAD HP70), as the amplifier also has an optional Bluetooth transmitter. With the NAD Remote app, you can control all functions with either a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
By adding the MDC BluOS module, you can use Wi-Fi or (wired) Ethernet to connect to your surrounding network and have Hi-Res Audio streaming. The BluOS module also turns your amplifier into its own "space" and part of a wireless multi-room system with BluOS-compatible devices (Bluesound). For example, wireless speakers are available in many different models and sizes (Bluesound PULSE, PULSE Mini, PULSE Flex), which are suitable for most uses.
Progressive power
Over the past few years, NAD has gradually distanced itself from old-fashioned, linear power supplies and Class AB amplifier technologies, which are energy-wasting. Instead of them, we have developed more efficient circuits, based on switch mode power supplies and Class D technology. In the past, the role of the power supply in traditional amplifier design was downplayed, but NAD focused on developing this area as well and the result has been some of the best amplifiers ever, despite the traditional design principles. The new implementation is highly linear well over the bandwidth and delivers consistent performance across all speaker loads, offering a downright dramatic improvement over previous amplifier designs.
In addition, the power supply performs excellently with a continuous power of 80 watts and an instantaneous power of 250 watts, which is obtained from short-term strong changes in music dynamics. The power supply also works flawlessly on any 100-240 volt AC network, producing flawless DC voltage. The highly efficient power supply also guarantees almost perfect voltage regulation in different situations, certainly providing smooth and trouble-free operation for all parts of the amplifier.
Using a customized Hypex UcD amplifier stage, the NAD C368 delivers massive power, making it almost impossible to detect distortion even by measuring. Every little detail in this amplifier has been carefully designed and implemented to extract all possible performance to ensure your listening pleasure.
