The Quintet Red is the perfect introduction to the world of Ortofon's Moving Coil. It presents you with an elliptical diamond cut and polished to Ortofon's standard. This entry-level MC cartridge offers excellent value for money and is designed with all users in mind.

Anti-skipping
The Quintet stylus type has normal anti-skipping when using the recommended tracking force.
Needle protection
The stylus guard is included with all Quintet series cases and is easily replaceable and removable. To avoid damage to the stylus or console, always attach the stylus guard when not in use.
Please note
To avoid damage to the needle or component, keep the needle guard in place when installing or removing the cartridge.
Needle maintenance
Ortofon does not recommend using any cleaning agents on the stylus or the surface of the record. If necessary, records can be washed with lukewarm, demineralized water with a small amount of hand washing-up liquid. Remove dust from the surface of the record with an antistatic brush or cloth after each use. Using cleaning agents on the stylus and components may cause damage to the stylus cement or its internal parts. The cartridge may be seriously damaged if cleaning agents get inside the cartridge. In such cases, Ortofon's warranty will be void. A fiber brush should be used to clean the stylus, brushing in the direction of the stylus. Regular cleaning of records will extend the life of the stylus.
