In many cases, in subwoofers made for sound pressure use, the starting point of the design is only the production of maximum sound pressure. Most subwoofers made for pressure use are therefore not very flattering in sound quality, but the Phoenix Gold ZMAX82 is a welcome exception to the rule.
Phoenix Gold's ZMAX82 and "big brother" ZMAX122 were chosen as "Product of the year" products in Car & Hifi magazine's subwoofer category!
The 8″ subwoofer has a powder-coated cast body, two and a half inch 2 x 2 ohm voice coil, sturdy 100oz magnet, glued & sewn top suspension, very efficient voice coil cooling.
The element works perfectly in the reflex housing, the details of which you can find below.
