Phoenix Gold ZTSS57 is a two-way speaker made for Scania R series 2004 – 2016.
The heart of the Scania speaker is a 5 x 7″ Phoenix Gold MX series element with a high sensitivity of 90dB.
Phoenix Gold uses the DCCD (Dual Concentric Coaxial Design) structure in the MX series speakers, where the tweeter element is not as a separate "post" in front of the mid-bass cone as in the traditional way, but the tweeter is placed in the middle of the cone, which minimizes phase errors between the elements and makes the reproduction more uniform. Thanks to this, the speaker is also not nearly so critical in terms of orientation and especially the sound of the trebles remains significantly better compared to a traditional speaker, especially when the car's speaker positions are in the door, and it is not possible to direct the speakers.
The ZTSS57 comes with adapters that allow the speaker to fit directly in place of the original speaker, and the package also comes with 5×7″ foam rings that go around the upper suspension of the speaker. The foam ring seals the space between the speaker and the door trim and improves the sound quality considerably.
Pictorial installation instructions, mounting screws, pop rivets and ready-made cables and connectors are included for easy installation.
