The water-repellent IMPP composite cone gives the speaker a great response to midrange and bass sounds, and resists the adverse effects of salt water, humidity, and heat.
The speaker has a soft, flexible plastic rim that will not discolor or loosen.
The acrylonitrile elastomeric styrene (AES) fiberglass-reinforced frame protects the magnet. The speakers' pure white AES front grille also stays pure white for a long time because it won't fade or yellow in sunlight or heat.
Gold conductors and gold-plated connectors also prevent possible interference caused by corrosion in the transmission of the audio signal.
