Switchable 35V and 45V outputs give you the choice of how you want to use the Amp Box RS2: We recommend 35V – especially for 4 ohm speakers – for more energy-efficient use of the Amp Box RS2. This results in lower power consumption and less heat build-up. This is also ideal if you are placing the Amp Box RS2 in a closed rack with little airflow or ventilation.
Selecting 45V will increase the power of the Amp Box RS2 by up to 25%. However, make sure that the Amp Box RS2 and Power Box RS2 Amp are placed in a well-ventilated area with good airflow to enjoy all the extra power.
The Amp Box RS2 has built-in safety measures, so if you are unsure about the airflow, remember that the Amp Box RS2 will automatically shut down to prevent heat damage.
The linear power supply consists of a massive toroidal transformer that prevents interference from the mains from penetrating the audio component. The built-in transformer has a much larger power reserve compared to a standard power supply. It has a very low output impedance and, together with a large filtering capacity, can easily handle all power requirements. The sound image and the accuracy of small details are greatly improved and contribute to a significantly better overall performance of each component.
The Power Box RS2 Amp is made in Europe and available in a black or silver all-aluminum housing.
