Pro-Ject RPM3 Carbon contains many features from the brand's more expensive models. The V-shaped frame and dynamically balanced turntable are made of MDF, and the turntable mat is made of recycled vinyl from LP records. The external 15 V AC motor is powered by a separate compact power supply.
The new 10-inch S-shaped tonearm is one of the most important components of the instrument. Its hollow aluminum arm is coated with carbon fiber composite. Ortofon's classic 2M Silver MM box with silver wiring has been chosen as the sound box. The result is stable and rhythmic sound reproduction.
Pro-Ject RPM3 Carbon includes several innovative improvements and novelties: Low resonance frequency of the frame, ceramic inverted plate bearing reduces rumble. The external 15 V AC motor and its control with an AC generator guarantee a stable rotation speed.
The completely new S tone arm is made of carbon fiber and aluminum
A complex 3-stage manufacturing process that uses heat and 100 bar pressure increases the stiffness of the tonearm, improving damping and reducing resonances. Thanks to this feature, the tone arm is also suitable for MC boxes.
In addition, the new antiskating magnet and the TPE damped counterweight make this instrument a "High End" instrument in its price range.
