The Pro-Ject T1 is the first turntable in the T series. The goal of the T series design was to create a high-quality and well-sounding turntable at an affordable price. The player has been carefully designed with minimal compromises and made from high-quality materials. We succeeded in our goal and the end result is a well-made turntable that is able to play records warmly, but with distinction.

The stylish CNC-machined turntable is available in a special matte white model. The body is made of solid MDF and does not have hollow areas like cheaper chipboard constructions. This design minimizes body noise. The number of plastic parts has been minimized.

The same zero-resonance philosophy has been used in the design of the turntable. The heavy, ball-blown glass platter and felt record mat are a highly resonance-dampening combination. The final touch is provided by the turntable's specially designed vibration-damping feet.

The T1 turntable has a redesigned belt drive. The precision-cast platter has a very precise bearing. The stainless steel and brass bearing has a dimensional accuracy of 0.001 mm – the same as in our sought-after Essential III turntables!

The selected drive system ensures a smoothly rotating and resonance-free operating environment for the tonearm and box.

A tonearm made from a single piece of aluminum. Sturdy, stiff and light. Just the way it should be.

The tonearm construction of the T1 is a new design based on previous Pro-Ject models. Its elegant 8.6-inch long arm is made from a single piece of rigid aluminum. The arm is low-friction, but has no play. The integrated cartridge carriage is rigid and does not produce its own vibrations in the same way as removable, screwed or glued cartridge carriages.

The high-quality Ortofon 2M White is equipped with an elliptical stylus.

The T1 White Edition comes with a Pick It 2M White moving magnet cartridge. The 2M White cartridge features an elliptically ground diamond stylus. No expense has been spared here either.

In addition, the player is finished with a well-shielded, semi-symmetrical and low-capacitance intermediate cable. This is not a standard RCA cable, but Pro-Ject's Connect It E, specially designed for turntable use: the technical requirements of the cable are different for turntable use than normal RCA cables. The device is also supplied with a dust cover and a felt record mat.

The T1 is a true marvel in its price range. This genuine hi-fi turntable is designed with decades of experience and is still manufactured in Europe. The T1 looks and sounds great!
