psb M4U 1
Top headphones with Room Feel functions.
Canadian PSB is an internationally respected speaker manufacturer with 40 years of experience in manufacturing top speakers. PSB's first headphones, the active M4U 2 (Music For You ) noise-cancelling headphones, are the result of a multi-year collaboration between PSB's Paul Barton and Canada's National Acoustics Laboratory. With the help of a long research work, it was found out exactly how people experience music listened to with headphones. The M4U 1 headphones now open up a completely new world of headphone listening.
Paul Barton, the founder and chief designer of PSB, says that there have been accurate scientific research results on hearing in Canada since the 1970s. "We at PSB have taken advantage of these results by combining them with Edgar Shawn's measurement techniques to apply them to headphone listening," says Barton.
The result of the work is Room FeelTM, which makes music sound more natural by taking into account the effect of the room on playback. Almost all music is monitored during recording and mixed specifically with speakers. Because the M4U 1 headphones take into account the influence of the listening position on the reproduction of the speakers, the sound is fuller and more natural than in conventional headphones.
Since headphones are very personal, comfort and style are just as important features as good sound quality. The M4U 1 headphones cover the entire ears and have ergonomic cushions that automatically shape to the head. Thanks to the good fit and lightness, the headphones are almost forgotten on the head, so you can focus on enjoying full and accurate playback.
The eye-catching, stylish appearance of the headphones was designed by David Farrage of the award-winning New York-based design agency DF-ID. Carefully considered lines, durable materials and sophisticated colors make the headphones a design product, which is also easy to carry around, because the headphones can be folded up.
The package includes a protective case, two cables and adapters for home and airplane use. There are two color options for the headphones, gray and red.
Paul Barton founded PSB Speakers in Canada in 1972. PSB has conducted psychoacoustic research and is the first company to use Canada's NRC acoustics laboratory, which has one of the world's largest anechoic rooms, to ensure that speakers reproduce as naturally as possible. As a result of hard work and dedication, award-winning and high-quality PSB speakers have been born, which have satisfied listeners around the world.
