The Rebec RPX-B8s is a very compact DSP amplifier that is intended as an extension of the car's original music system.
Small is beautiful
Due to its small size, the amplifier is easy to install in a car, for example behind the glove compartment or inside the dashboard. The amplifier is connected to the car's existing stereo, using a separately purchased Plug & Play wiring harness.
Eight channel outputs
The Rebec RPX-B8s features a 4 x 68W amplifier and an eight-channel DSP processor. The built-in amplifier can be used to drive front and rear speakers, or alternatively a front two-way set of speakers.
If you want to control more diverse equipment, this is not a problem with the Rebec, as the eight-channel processor offers control options for, for example, an active three-way front end and two rear speakers or two subwoofers. The RPX-B8s includes eight channel outputs, so you can connect an external amplifier/amplifiers to the Rebec and use the Rebec processing features for these amplifiers. If you wish, you can also disable the Rebec amplifier and use the RPX-B8s as a processor only.
Bluetooth
Built-in Bluetooth allows you to stream music directly from your phone to the amplifier. Rebec has six memory slots for different settings and you can change memory slots and adjust the volume from the phone app. Memory slots can also be audio source specific, so you can also switch between different audio sources using the phone app, if, for example, memory slot 1 is set for Bluetooth, memory slot 2 for speaker level input, etc.
Separate controller and USB playback
The Rebec DRC-B8s/B10 is a separate controller that connects to the amplifier, allowing you to easily adjust the volume of the equipment and switch between different program sources. The controller also allows you to play music from a USB stick directly to the amplifier, and with the DRC-B8s/B10 you can change songs and navigate folders on the USB stick.
PC software
The Rebec RPX-B8s is easy to adjust using a PC. Download the adjustment software here and install it on your computer, connect the computer to the amplifier with a USB-A -> USB-B cable (sold separately) and make the desired adjustments. There are six memory locations for the settings and the memory locations can also be managed using the Android phone app (iOS phone app coming soon) .
The memory locations are also source-specific. This means that you can, for example, choose to use different settings for Bluetooth than for a speaker-level signal. This allows you to switch between different sources from the phone app if you save your own settings for different sources in their own memory locations.
