Supra LORAD 2.5 mm2 16A power cable with angle
Shielded power cord, consisting of Supra LoRad 3 x 2.5 mm2 cable, Supra SWF16 female connector (IEC-320) and Supra SW-EU/A male connector with angle. Power rating 16 A continuous. The EU version with Schuko plug is the most common standard throughout Europe. Exceptions are Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Suitable for LoRad distribution blocks with a current rating of 16 A.
NOTE! The SWF-16S female connector type is IEC-320, which is compatible with, among others, Supra 16 A power strips.
Features:
Supra LoRad:
LoRad stands for low radiation, meaning these power cables are designed to minimize both electric and magnetic fields. Give your hi-fi the most significant advantage of all, the ability to be quiet when needed. Only then will the smallest details and notes be clearly audible, and the background of time-delayed reflections, real or artificial, representing the acoustic environment of the recording, show the conscious hi-fi enthusiast the entire soundstage.
LoRad protects both the connected device from external interference and external devices from interference caused by the mains. LoRad MkII is a new model of the LoRad concept, now with improved protection, flexibility, bending/fatigue resistance and strength.
In addition to the physical durability of the cable, LoRad has focused on the structure of the conductors. The conductors are twisted together at a short radius, thereby reducing the magnetic field caused by self-induction around the conductors. In addition, the twisted structure reduces the effect of external interference, as the same voltage is induced in all conductors at the same level.
LoRad MkII now features Supra's unique Carbon/Nylon shielding concept. The semi-conductive carbon/nylon shielding has improved properties such as flexural strength, environmental durability, higher tensile strength and reduced microphonic effect. The Carbon/Nylon shielding is connected to the shielding ground along its entire length, effectively conducting any noise trapped in the shielding to ground. "We have tested and evaluated all known shielding types to make the best cable possible. Supra's semi-conductive Carbon/Nylon shielding was the only one that passed the strict safety requirements and its shielding properties were the best ever." LoRad MkII is tested and certified by Intertek Sweden and meets the European safety standard HD21.5 S3.
Note: The Supra LoRad must be plugged into a grounded outlet to get full benefit.
