WireWorld Starlight 8 Twinax CAT 8 Ethernet
In theory, digital audio connections are supposed to be less sensitive to cables than analog connections, but cable graphic tests have shown that the hearing loss of digital and analog cables is actually comparable.
Even Ethernet connections, which are completely reliable when storing files, degrade the fidelity of streamed music and video compared to the original. Wireworld has invested decades in research, testing and development creating digital audio cables to deliver significant improvements in musical realism and enjoyment.
Starlight 8 Twinax Ethernet uses an innovative flat and parallel twinax conductor geometry that supports extreme transmission speeds and reduces interference in streaming music and video playback.
Official network cable categories (i.e. Cat5 / 6/7/8) only include twisted pair cables, so these untwisted twinax cables cannot be classified under those test specifications. However, it is interesting to note that the 100 Gb/s (QSFP+) Ethernet cables used in Internet server installations are also twinax models
